Of Ottawa, residing in Kelowna, passed away in his home on Saturday, March 17, 2001 at the age of 83. Born in Blaricum, Holland, Frederick obtained a law degree at the University of Brussels and a doctorate in Economics at the University of Cologne. Survived by his loving wife Marie Louise Backendorff of 57 years; daughters: Mrs. Anne Marie Banerd, Dr. Helene Irvine and Mrs. Catherine Bailey; five grandchildren: Francesca, Nicholas, Matthew (I), Geneva, and Matthew (B)_. Frederick will be sadly missed. In lieu of flowers please send donations to the Ontario Friends of Schizophrenics, in loving memory of Frederick and Marie Louise's only son Frederick Anthony.
