In Ottawa, on March 25, 2001 at the age of 71. Cherished son of Bella Altman Leikin and the late Max Altman. Beloved husband of Betty. Devoted father of Morey and Eric. Brother of Helen Hochberg. Irving will be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews and cousins. Irving was a dedicated public volunteer, serving the community for 28 years with Kiwanis, as past District Vice-President of B'nai Brith, and a founding member of the Nepean Association of Performing Arts. For his many significant contributions to community and country, Irving was awarded The Commemorative Medal for the 125th Anniversary of the Confederation of Canada, as well as the Nepean 2000 Medal. A Graveside Service will be held in the Chapel of the New Jewish Community Cemetery, Osgoode, Ontario on Monday, March 26th at 11 a.m. Shiva to be observed at 14-2 Bertona Street, Nepean.
