(nee Crease). Daughter of Albert James and Mary Maude Crease of Amherst NS, passed away peacefully at the Beverly Centre in Calgary on Tuesday, March 27, 2001, just short of her ninety-first birthday. Ruth was born in Amherst, N.S. and always loved the Maritimes and the family cottage at Shore. As a result of their military life, Ruth and her husband Innes lived and raised their family in Regina, Halifax, Fredericton, Ottawa and Montreal. She wil be remembered for her kindness, generosity, love of life, and contagious laughter. Ruth will be sadly missed by her daughter Isabel (Ralph) Ansley of Manly, Australia, her son Charles (Chuck) (Nadine) Fraser of Calgary, her sister Muriel (Mornie) Swetnam of Halifax and her daughter-in-law Marion Fraser of Calgary. Grandma Ruth is survived by seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Col. N. Innes Fraser of Kingston, Ontario, her son Robert (Bob) J.I. Fraser, her brother Charlie, and her sisters Avice and Helen. At Ruth's request, no funeral services will be held. A Memorial Service for family and close friends will be held at a later date. Special thanks to her caregiver Shirley Chynoweth and to the staff at the Beverly Centre (Unit 200). In living memory of Ruth Fraser, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park by McInnis & Holloway Funeral Homes, "Park Memorial Chapel", 5008 Elbow Drive S.W., Calgary.
