Peacefully at home, in Ottawa, on March 30th, 2001 at the age of 68 years. Beloved husband of Fern for nearly 49 years. Loving father of Carol (Eric Evans), Richard (Gerrie Losier), Debra (Bernie Bartley), John Jr. "J.J." (Dina Belanger), and the late William "Willy". Dear Grandpa of Denis, Jennifer, Nathan, Jasmine, Corey, Erin and Wade. Brother of Helen (William Barber) and Colleen (Kent MacMillan). Predeceased by his father William, his mother Lilian McSorley, his brothers Dick (Rita Robert) and Babe (Sylvia). In accordance with John's wishes a cremation took place privately.
