Peacefully in her sleep in Almonte Country Haven, Almonte, Ontario, on Sunday, April 1, 2001. Gladys Bradford in her 98th year. Beloved wife of the late Thomas Whalen. Loving mother of Dorothy McKittrick (late Wally), Shirley Robillard (Kip) and Morley (Joan). Gladys will be sadly missed by her 10 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Survived by her brother Harold Bradford of New Liskeard and her 3 sisters-in-law. Predeceased by her daughter Marlene Hodgins, her son-in-law Allan Hodgins, 2 sisters, 3 brothers and 1 step-sister. Friends may call at the Alan R. Barker Funeral Home 19 McArthur Avenue, Carleton Place on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service to be held in the chapel on Wednesday at 2 p.m. Spring interment Auld Kirk Cemetery, Almonte.
