Peacefully and amongst family on April 2, 2001 at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Charlottetown, P.E.I., aged seventy-four, of Oyster Bed Bridge, P.E.I., and formerly of Montreal. A Veteran of World War II with the Pictou Highlanders, and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, North Rustico Branch. Survived by his wife of fifty-three years, May (Peters); daughters Betty-Anne (Jan) Wildeman of Toronto and Arlene (David) Luttrell of Toronto and son Norman. Also survived by brother Ronald of B.C. and sisters Rowena (Alex) Skokan and Doreen Maye, both of Montreal. Also survived by his grandchildren Kim, Laura, William, Rebeccah, and Sarah and step-grandchildren Laura and Arthur. Predeceased by his parents Maynard and Lillian Coffin of Gaspe, Quebec, his brother Harry and infant brother Erskine. Also predeceased by his great-grandson Wesley. Also survived by numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Visitation was held on Thursday, April 5. Funeral was held at St. Augustine Church, South Rustico on Friday. Interment later in the church cemetery. Donations, if preferred, to the St. Augustine Church Building Fund. Arrangements entrusted to Central Queen's Funeral Co-op Ltd., P.E.I.
