KANEB, Catherine – Peacefully, at her residence, with her family by her side, on Sunday, April 10, 2011. Catherine (Meinhold) Kaneb of Massena NY; age 86. Beloved wife of Edward Kaneb. Dear mother of Leslie M. Kaneb, Gretchen Kaneb, Elizabeth Kaneb and Edward J. Kaneb Jr. Loving grandmother of Lindsay, Meryl, Hillary, Roger and Michael. Predeceased by one brother Paul Chapman Irving. Dear daughter of the late Oscar Meinhold and Madeline Irving. Survived by numerous nieces and nephews and several cousins in P.E.I. and Nova Scotia. Catherine worked for the Department of Navy (Canadian) during WWII and as a model in Montreal after the war where she met Edward J. Kaneb. She was the food service manager at the Highland Nursing Home Inc. The family will be in attendance at Philips Memorial Funeral Home 64 Andrews Street Massena NY on Wednesday April 13 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on Thursday at Lahaie & Sullivan Cornwall Funeral Homes, West Branch, 20 Seventh Street West, Cornwall (613-932-8482) from 10a.m.until the time of service. Funeral Thursday April 14, 2011 for service in the Memorial Chapel of the Funeral Home at 11 a.m. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Cornwall at a later date.
