Passed away peacefully, at home, on Thursday, April 19, 2001. Beloved husband and best friend of Barbara for 43 years. Devoted father of Susan (Geoff), Helen (Alan) and Paula. Adored Grandad of James, Samantha and Jessica. The family wishes to thank Dr. J. Dollin for her care, compassion and visits over the last 18 months. As well, Dr. Fitzgibbons at the Elisabeth Bruyere Palliative Care, for making it possible for Brian to be at home, and Bradson Home Care nurses and Comcare. Special thanks to Doug, Hene and Jennifer MacDonald for making it possible for Brian to feel the sun and to see the ocean, as well for their generosity and understanding. Thanks also to Verna and Caroline for being there for Barbara these past few months. As well, to all our friends at the Coachman, for the visits, flowers and concern; Brian was overwhelmed by all. A memorial service will be held on Monday, April 23, 2001 at the Pinecrest Cemetery Chapel (2500 Baseline Road, Ottawa) at 11:00 a.m. A reception will follow at the Pinecrest Reception Centre. Donations to the Ottawa Regional Cancer Centre Foundation (Ottawa General Campus) would be appreciated. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Cole Funeral Services. Ottawa Citizen, April 21, 2001
