83, died Thursday, April 19, 2001, in Queens General Hospital, Liverpool, Nova Scotia. Born in Milton, Queens Co., May 12, 1917, she was a daughter of the late Hattie (Harnish) Veinot Osborn and John Veinot; stepdaughter of the late Charles Osborn. She is survived by her daughter, Charlotte (Chris) Pomroy, Ottawa; grandchildren, Ian (Donnalyn McClymont), Ottawa; Susan and Alison, Ottawa, Neil, Toronto; brothers, Charles and James Veinot, Liverpool; sisters, Mary Daley, Westville; Ethel (Don) Shupe, Mill Village; brother-in-law Allan Rafuse; Cobourg, Ont., many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Charles H. Rafuse; brothers, William, Freeman, Hector, Frank Veinot and half-brother, Clyde Osborn; sisters, Nettie Baker and Esther Whynot. For many years, Betty and Charlie operated their grocery store on Main Street, Liverpool. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends, neighbours and card party acquaintances. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers' Funeral Home, Liverpool. Funeral Service was held April 28 in Trinity Anglican Church. Burial Zion United Cemetery, Liverpool.
