(Teacher, Mother Theresa High School and former teacher of Lester B. Pearson High School) Suddenly at his home on Monday, April 23, 2001, at the age of 52. Loving husband, kindred spirit and best friend of Louise DesLauriers (nee Samson). Will be sadly missed by his treasured companion, Daisey, as well as all his barnyard friends. Beloved son of the late J. Paul and Iris DesLauriers. Cherished brother of Peter and his wife Tanya, Bill and his wife Cathy, Louise, Cathy and her husband Barry Edwards. Fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews Jennifer, Michael, Katie, Brenna, Ryan, Paul, Sean, Chris, Justin and Joanna. Son-in-law of Adele and the late Gerald Samson of Sudbury. Brother-in-law of Marc and his wife Patty, Denyse and John. A mentor whose sense of humour, wisdom and kindness inspired both students and teachers. Paul taught beyond the curriculum. Friends may call at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road at Albion on Friday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass Saturday at 10 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament Church (Fourth Avenue at Percy).
