(nee Glenn) Peacefully with her family at her side, Friday, April 27, 2001 at the age of 62 years. Beloved wife of Malcolm, devoted mother of James and Jonathan and his wife Shelley. Dear step daughter of Lillian Thibert, sister to Jean, Gloria, Donald, Robert, Arthur, Gerard, Percy, Nancy and Jeff. Survived by her brothers and sisters-in-law Jon, Ruth and Tony. She also leaves behind many nephews, nieces and friends. Pre-deceased by her mother and father Marshall and Rose Glenn, sisters Patricia and Sally and brother Bob. A graduate of St. Mary's Academy in Windsor, Ontario, Shirley was passionate about life and devoted herself to teaching, first in the classroom and once her sons were born, to them. As the wife of an army officer, Shirley travelled the world living in Germany, India, Pakistan, Israel and five of the Canadian provinces. In each place she lived, she embraced the local culture and used the world as a classroom for her family. Shirley lived her life in the belief that everyone had good in them. You just had to give them the opportunity to show it. The world is a better place because Shirley's love for life. The family will receive relatives and friends at the HERITAGE Funeral Home, 2871 St. Joseph Blvd., Orleans (west of Place d'Orleans Dr.), on Sunday, April 29, 2001, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral mass will be held in Divine Infant Parish, 6658 Bilberry Drive, Orleans, on Monday, April 30, 2001 at 11:45 a.m. Donations to the University of Ottawa Heart Institute would be appreciated.
