Passed away peacefully at the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital on May 2nd at age 87. Cherished husband of Eva (Gilbert) for 58 years. Loving father of Suzanne (Brown) and proud grandfather of Natalie, Christopher and Jennifer. Dear brother of John Emmett, Kathleen (MacIntosh), Maureen (Thompson) and Patricia (Daly). Brother-in-law of Alice Hodge, Louise Wishart and Joan Gilbert. Len will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. Len was a long time employee of Alcan Limited. He retired in 1981 as Vice-President of Alcan Bermuda after 52 years of dedicated service. A funeral mass will be held at St. Dominic's Roman Catholic Church, 2415 Rebecca Street, Oakville on Friday, May 4th at 1 p.m. Reception following - McCartin residence - 2180 Marine Drive, Common Room. Burial will take place at the Notre Dame Cemetery in Ottawa on Monday, May 7th at 1 p.m. Donations to the Alzheimer or Parkinson's Society would be appreciated. Ottawa Citizen, May 03, 2001
