Peacefully at the St. Catharines General Hospital on Thursday, May 3, 2001. Hazel, wife of the late Murray Lyne who passed away in 1997, and mother of Ron Lyne who passed away in 1983. She is very much loved by her son Bruce Lyne, his wife Osa and their daughter Lauren who live in Tuxedo Park, New York. She is fondly remembered by her grandchildren Margot, Warren and Alexis and their mother Shirley. Hazel was born in 1917 in the Owen Sound area, she was the second eldest of 6 children and was the sole surviving sibling. Hazel will be missed by many friends in St. Catharines, Niagara-on-the-Lake, and Ottawa. Friends and family may call at the Grace Anglican Church, 238 Geneva Street in St. Catharines on Tuesday, May 15, 2001, from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 12 noon. Interment will follow at Niagara Lakeshore Cemetery. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated by the family.
