Veteran - WWII Retired Commissionaire At home, on May 4, 2001, aged 86 years. Son of the late John and Daisy Learie. Brother of John, Lawrence, Catherine and Marjorie. Father of Robert (Murielle) and 3 grandchildren. Jim was a Commissionaire for the R.C.M. Police for 21 years. Most fondly, Jim will be remembered for his years worked at the Canadian Police College pool. Jim's interest in physical fitness kept him busy swimming, golfing, skiing and weight lifting. All will remember him as a generous person and a true gentleman. Jim will be missed by his many friends, in particular Pat Heckl, Dorothy Leduc and Otis Stewart. Interment Mount Royal Cemetery (Quebec). Ottawa Citizen, May 16, 2001
