(nee Balfour). Peacefully, on Friday, May 4, 2001 in her 91st year. Beloved wife for 60 years of John E.W. Turcke. Loving mother of Virginia Grant and her husband Ken and Dave and his wife Ann. Cherished "Granny" of Mary Ann (Gord), Bob (Elizabeth), Christina (Sheldon), Peter, Natasha and Erin and "Great-Granny" of Emily, Isla, Julia Jane and Chase. Also survived by her brother Wright Balfour and her sister Katherine Turcke. Friends may attend a memorial service at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 Mcleod Street on Tuesday, May 8, 2001 at 12 noon. Reception to follow at the McGarry Family Reception Centre. The family wishes to thank the staff of the Ottawa General Hospital and St. Vincent's Hospital for their care and compassion.
