Moyer, Isabelle Ñ surrounded by her loving family on July 6, 2011 at Hospice Cornwall. Isabelle Sybil Lapensee, beloved wife of Ralph Moyer. Cherished mother of Sharon (Terry) Mercer of Glen Walter and Michael (Francine) Sabourin of Rockland. Loving grandmother of Sarah (Brian) Beaudette, and special great-grandmother to Taylor, Alexandra and many step grandchildren and great grandchildren. Loving sister of Leon (Judy) Lapensee of Iroquois and Lily (John) Worrall of Cornwall. Beloved other mother of Ralph's children, Linda (Steve) Avram of Duncan, B.C., Le'Anne (Greg) Frieday and David Moyer (Hai Toh Lim), all of Ottawa, and Drew Moyer (Michelle) and Peter Moyer (Ella Platschick) all of Winnipeg, and much loved special grandmother to their children and grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents Michael Lapensee and Doris Piper. Wife by former marriage of the late Reginald Sabourin and the late Laurie Harris. Isabelle loved life and lived it to the max each and every day. She was the hub of her family and her caring interest, generosity and kindness knew no bounds. Isabelle was known most recently as a valued member of the Emergency Department team at the Cornwall General Hospital until her retirement in 1999. Isabelle was a voracious reader and we are going to miss her bags filled with books and her commentary on which author was "the best." In recent years she took up bridge, not content with learning how to play but, together with Ralph, winning tournaments in and out of town and making many new friends along the way. Friends were important to Isabelle and she kept them for life. She had a knack for recognizing those she had not seen in many years - much to their delight. Special thanks to the medical staff at the Cornwall Community Hospital, staff and volunteers at Hospice Cornwall, Archdeacon Frank Kirby, and the many friends who provided so much support over the past three weeks. Resting at Lahaie and Sullivan Cornwall Funeral Homes, West Branch 20 Seventh Street West (613-932-8482) from 2 pm Sunday. Funeral Service Monday July 11, 2011 in Trinity Anglican Church at 11 A.M.. followed by cremation. The family will be in attendance from 2 pm to 4 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm on Sunday and on Monday from 9 am until the time of service. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Cornwall Hospice would be appreciated by the family. Messages of condolence may be left at www.lahaiesullivan.comÒOur loss is heaven's gainÓ
