Passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of forty-eight. He passed away at home on May 13, 2001 surrounded by his loving family. Arlyss Belair of Green Valley, the beloved companion of Karen Lyng. Loving father of Arleen, Sandra, Katie, Michael, and loving stepfather of Joey, Steven, and Tyler. Cherished son of the late Arthur Belair and Georgette Ward. He will be sadly missed by his sister Claudia (Pierre Viau) of LaSalle, Quebec, and his brothers Kevin (Ginette Daigle) of St. Julie, Quebec, Francis Ward (Mel) of St. Hubert, Quebec. He will always be fondly remembered by Stephane, Gina, Marc, and numerous other family and friends. Friends and family may call at Munro & Morris Funeral Homes, 114 Main Street South, Alexandria on Friday from 1 to 3 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Friday, May 18, 2001 in the Chapel of the Funeral Home at 3 p.m. Cremation will follow.
