1922-2001. Peacefully on May 19, 2001, at the Residence Le Riverain, in Granby, Qc., after courageously fighting until the end. Loving husband of the late Hildegard Weyland. Beloved father of Gunnar (Maureen Pennell), Birgit (Harvey Sauve). Cherished Opa of Heidi (Mario Maffei) and Karen. He was greatly loved and admired by those who knew him. Cremation was held at Les Jardins Bessette Crematorium in Granby. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 23, 2001, at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Les Jardins Funeraires Bessette, 997 des Colombes (angle St-Jude Nord), Granby or, (fax). Family will receive condolences from family and friends on the day of the funeral, as of 1 p.m. Interment at St-Vincent-de-Paul at a later date. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society.
