Peacefully in hospital on Saturday, May 19, 2001 in her 88th year. Doris Major, dear wife of the late Philip Zappa. Predeceased by brother John and sister Norma. Very special friend of Dick and Rita Oakley. Friends may call at the Whelan Funeral Home, 515 Cooper Street (between Bay and Lyon) on Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. Funeral mass to St. Anthony's Church on Friday, May 25, 2001 at 10 a.m. Interment with her husband Philip in Notre Dame Cemetery to follow.
