(nee Elder). Widow of Arthur Ian Matheson, of Montreal, mother of John, Debbie and Neil, grandmother of Ian, Claire, Geoffrey and Lizzie, and sister of Sheila Parsons, of Knowlton, Qc. Peacefully in her sleep, at her home in Victoria B.C., in her eighty-sixth year. Phyllis would like to wish a very fond farewell to all her many friends across Canada and beyond, especially at BCS/King's Hall Compton and Selwyn House School, and to her fellow Canadian Red Cross volunteers, who served overseas with her during the Second World War. Her family also wishes to extend a special thank you to her many care-givers whose unflinching support brought her great comfort during her final days. A funeral service will be held at Christ Church Cathedral, in Victoria, on Thursday, May 24, at 11 a.m. Donations to support Arthritis or Cancer Research would be most gratefully appreciated.
