On May 20, 2001, Mr. James (Jim) McLaughlin of Ponoka, Alberta, formerly of Milngavie, Scotland and Ottawa, passed away at the age of 87 years. Jim was predeceased by his wife, Mary McLaughlin, in 1971. He will be lovingly remembered by his companion Helen Sheehan; daughter Hilary McLaughlin of Ottawa; son Paul McLaughlin (Xenia) of Toronto; grandchildren Arianna and Roone McLaughlin; Helen's son Ken Sheehan (Robin) of Wetaskiwin, Alberta, and their children Jane, Tim and Brent; sister Ellen Graham (Donald) of Milngavie; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A Funeral Service was held on Tuesday, May 22, 2001, at 9:30 a.m. at Bowker Funeral Home in Ponoka. Memorial donations are gratefully accepted to the Ponoka Hospital and Care Centre (Palliative Care).
