Jeanne Margaret BEATTIE

Jeanne passed away peacefully at the Ottawa Civic Hospital on Monday, May 21, 2001. She was born in London, England on July 11, 1916 to George Baron Beattie and Edith Katie Woodell. Predeceased by her loving husband John Theodore Edkins. Beloved mother of John Nicholas Edkins and dear mother-in-law to Conny (nee Wesseling) Edkins of Stittsville, Ontario. She was an adoring grandmother to "her boys" Nick, Alex and David Edkins. Jean is survived by her brother Maxwell Beattie of Two Mountains, Quebec. Predeceased by her brother Gordon Beattie of Okotoks, Alberta. Formerly of Two Mountains and Montreal (NDG), Jeanne lived her last years near her family in Stittsville, Ontario. Following her wishes, we have made arrangements for cremation. There will be a private gathering of friends and relatives on Friday, May 25, 2001 to remember and celebrate Jeanne's life.
