Born on March 27, 1932 in Moncton, he was the son of the late Russell and Zelda (Wilson) Burnes. In his retirement years Tom enjoyed drawing, gardening and boating. The last surviving member of his immediate family he is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Violet (Hubbard) Burnes, two sons: Daniel of Pte du Chene, David of Grand Barachois as well as several nieces and nephews. Tom was predeceased by his sisters Lois and by brothers; Richard and Jack. The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral Home, 396 Main Street, Shediac (532-3297) from where the funeral service will be held Tuesday October 25, 2011 at 3 p.m. Visiting hours will be Tuesday from 2 p.m. until time of funeral. .
