At Eastholme, Home for the Aged, Powassan, on Wednesday, May 23, 2001. Hazel Eliza Kerrison Fowler, beloved wife of the late William Clifton Shepherd in her 94th year. The beloved daughter of the late Edward and Jane Fowler, Hazel is predeceased by her sisters Vera Burke and Dorothy Fowler. Loving aunt of Gary Burke and his wife Coreen of Kanata, and dear cousin of Bill Brownlee and his wife Doris Rae of North Bay. Born in Montreal in 1907, Hazel and her late husband had been residents of Ottawa since 1949. Her working career was spent with the A.W. Crawfford Co. William predeceased her in 1983, and in 1998 Hazel moved to North Bay to be closer to family. At her request no visitation. Cremation to take place. A graveside committal service will be held in North Bay Union Cemetery on Wednesday, May 30th at 1:00 p.m. Donations to the Cancer Society will be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.
