R.N. (nee Dixon) Peacefully at the Ottawa General Hospital on Thursday, May 24, 2001, in her 96th year, with her family by her side. Beloved wife of the late Roydon Joseph Kennelly, and daughter of the late James Dixon and Sarah Jane McHugh. Much loved mother of Mary Lou McCoy (Michael), Norah Bellman (Larry), Brian "Mike" (Vicky Swinburne) and the late Patricia Jane Hodgins and the late Albert John Kennelly. Beloved grandmother of Sharon Anne Whalen, Susan Chorney (Larry), Shannon Hodgins, Michael Hodgins (Anne Marie), Joanne Hunt (Jeff), Chris Bellman (Tracy), James Bellman (Renee), Kevin Bellman-Kennelly (Allysa), Cathy Sharland (Tom); predeceased by grandchildren Erin Colleen and Sean Patrick McCoy and Shaun Bellman. Fond great-grandmother of 11 grandchildren and much loved aunt to many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her sister Genevieve Lynch (Ernest), brothers Frank Dixon (Margaret), Albert Dixon and Harold Dixon (Mona). Friends may call at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 235 Kent St., Ottawa. Sunday. Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 10 a.m. on Monday at Saint Patrick's Home Chapel, 2865 Riverside Dr., Ottawa. Interment Notre Dame Cemetery. The family would like to thank the special caring staff and the Palliative Care Team at Saint Patrick's Home for their kindness to a special mom. Also a very special thanks is extended to the Medical and Nursing Staff of 4th floor, Southeast Wing, of the Ottawa Hospital, General Site for their dedicated and compassionate care and support.
