At the Montreal General Hospital, on June 2, 2001, in his ninety-sixth year. Son of the late Essie Perevosnik and the late Solomon Lack. Beloved husband of seventy years of Rheva Weiser. Loving father of Eric Malcolm (Anita Veinish) and Daniel Ian. Devoted grandfather of Heidi (Michael Zell), of Boston, Wendy of Toronto and Jonathan (Phillipa Courts), of London, England. Great-grandfather of Joshua Matthew Lack and Myles Benjamin Lack-Zell. Brother of Anna and the late Louis Shereff of New York; Brother-in-law of Paula and the late Jack Rosenbloom, Rachel and the late Samuel Meister, Elsie and the late Joseph Ross, Bert and the late Joseph Kramer, and the late Henry "Bud" Weiser. Predeceased by his sisters Rose (the late Moe Hamer), Ethel (the late Max Meyers) and his brother David M. Lack Q.C. (the late Sybil Glickman). Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon West, on Tuesday, June 5, 2001, at 1 p.m. Burial at Shaare Zion Congregation Section, Eternal Gardens Cemetery, Beaconsfield.
