Gwendolyn "Elsie" Litle, 86, of Evergreen Home for Special Care, Kentville, Nova Scotia, formerly of Ottawa, died Monday, June 4, 2001, in the home. Born in Thornby, Quebec, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Rebecca (Finan) Tubman. She was employed with Statistics Canada in Ottawa and was also employed as a part time ophthalmologist assistant in the Ottawa area for over 30 years. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by her son, Edward Gary Litle, Kentville, NS; daughters-in-law, Diane Tedford-Litle, Hall's Harbour, NS; Julie Litle, Ottawa; grandchildren, Sean, Steven and Geoffrey Litle; Lorna Egresits and Erin Miller; great-grandchildren, Dylan and Lauren Litle; Tyler Litle; Craig and Tiffany Lerik; Hayley and Julie Miller; great-great-grandchild, Riley Lerik. She was predeceased by her husband Cyrus George Litle; son, Lorne; sisters, Mabel and Velma; infant twins (a sister and a brother). No visitation by request. Graveside service to be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 9, 2001, in St. Stephen's Anglican Church Cemetery, Thorne, Quebec. Donations in memory may be made to the Evergreen Home for Special Care, Kentville, NS or the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the W.C.
