Isabel Muriel COOKE

(nee MacKay) At Saint Vincent Hospital, early morning of 9 June 2001, at age 70, after many years of courageous struggle. Isabel was born on Boularderie Island, Cape Breton, 19 March, 1931. Her fight to maintain her dignity and relevance in this world was a great inspiration to staff, relatives and her many visiting friends. Wife of Edwin, mother of Colin and Karen (Kevin Resch) and "Grammie" of Samantha, Benjamin, and Kody (Resch). She will be missed by all. Friends may visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street on Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. and Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. with celebration of her life in Christ Church Cathedral (Anglican), Sparks and Bronson, on Wednesday at 2 p.m. Interment will be at a later date in Cape Breton. memoriam donations to the SCO Health Service Foundation or charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
