The "Humpty Dumpty Man" passed away peacefully on June 11, 2001 in his 78th year with his loving and devoted wife of 55 years Helen June (Thompson) by his side. He will be dearly missed by his children, Robert (Terry) Cornwall, England, Michael (Lynda) Pembroke, Dolly Beetham (Chris) Oshawa, Joella Chamberland (Daniel) Pembroke, Laurieann Norris (Rob) Morewood, and Danny (Shelly) Pembroke. Pappa will remain forever in the hearts of his grandchildren Scott, Grant, Stacie, Shane, Jordan, Michelle, Deanna, Shannon and Joshua and step-children Elaine, Peter, Nicolas, Gabriel and Bethany. He is survived by his sisters Adrianne Leblanc and Lucille Hotte, and his brothers Omer, Henry and Guy. Our family has lost a good man, but this warm hearted, hard working, witty man has been welcomed in the arms of our Lord, as he so richly deserved. There to greet him were his parents, Jean-Baptiste and Alexina, his brother Roger and his sister Margo. Rest well Pappa, we shall miss you. A Memorial service will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Church on Friday, June 15, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. as an expression of sympathy, a donation to the CT Scan Fund or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
