Passed away peacefully in Charles LeMoyne Hospital on June 12, 2001, eight days short of his ninety-fifth birthday. He is predeceased by his loving wife of sixty-three years Norah, and leaves behind son Michael (Mike) and much loved daughter-in-law Michelle, granddaughters Debbie (Rick Myles) and Terry (Chris Legault) and great-grandchildren Scott and Kevin Myles, and Stephanie and Jessica Legault. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service with interment of the remains will be held in August. The last drive has been hit, and the last putt has been sunk, but he will be remembered always for his love of The Game. Montreal Gazette, June 14, 2001
