Sgt. Passed away peacefully, June 13, 2001 at the age of sixty-nine, following a courageous battle with cancer. Al proudly served our country in the Canadian Armed forces from 1949-1984 and was a veteran of the Korean War. He is survived by his loving wife Catherine (Fowler); his sons, Gary, Murray, Terry and Randy (Nicole); his daughters, Cathy-Lynn (David Hanson), Christina (Frank Pietracupa) and Dianne; his grandchildren, Jordan, Niki, Jerry, Lisa and Jonathan; his sister, Maureen (Bos); his brothers, Ronald and Allan. A memorial service will be held at Lakeshore Pentecostal Church, 470 Brookhaven, Dorval, Quebec, on June 20 at 1 p.m. He will be laid to rest at the military Field of Honour, 703 Donegani, Pointe Claire, Quebec. At the request of family, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to Haldimand War Memorial Hospital, Palliative Care Unit, 206 John Street, Dunnville, Ontario.
