(nee Calhoun). Passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 14, 2001 at Humber River Regional Hospital (Church St. Site), Toronto, in her ninety-second year. Kay, graduate of McGill University (1930), formerly of The Town of Mount Royal and Lac des Iles, Quebec, loving wife of the late J. Harvey Leathem. Beloved mother of Patricia (James) Nelson of Toronto, and Ian (Mary) of Halifax. Proud grandmother of Cathy (Scott) Plaskett, Sandy (Adam) Solecki, Laurie Nelson, Katie and Ben Leathem. Great-grandmother of Stephen and David Solecki. Predeceased by brother Robert and sisters Margaret, Eileen and Beatrice. Kay will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by the many close family members and friends whose lives she touched. She was a proud woman, who will also be remembered for her independent spirit, zest for life and on particular her love of The Lake. A memorial service will be held at Bloordale United Church on Tuesday, June 19 at 2 p.m. Donations to the Lac des Iles Sunday Services (c/o of Heather Calhoun, 760 rue Daviault, Entrelacs, Quebec).
