December 22, 1914-June 15, 2001. Today, we lost an angel. My darling wife of fifty-seven years succumbed to pneumonia after a valiant struggle Alexis was born in Sydney, Nova Scotia. She trained as a nurse, and did post graduate work in obstetrics and gynecology at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Montreal. She leaves to mourn, me, her loving husband, Gerry Scallion, her devoted daughters, Maureen of Montreal (George Fajzel), Melissa of Toronto (Brian Lynch), and son Gerry of Vancouver. Her beautiful grandchildren Stephanie, Jeffrey and Alexandra of Vancouver, and Katie and Mickey of Toronto will miss her terribly. Mass will be held at Annunciation Parish, 75 Roosevelt, Town of Mount Royal, on Tuesday, June 19, 2001 at 1 p.m. Donations to St. Mary's Hospital Foundation, 3830 Avenue Lacombe, Montreal, Quebec.
