Retired Provincial Court House. Peacefully in hospital on Father's Day, Sunday June 17, 2001, after a brief battle with cancer at the age of 74. Beloved husband and best friend of Enid Sisson. Loving father of Gloria Wilson (George) of Deerfield Beach, Florida, Bill (Pat), Nancy Slater (Jeff) of Toronto, Bob (Pina), Brenda Beattie (Eric), Barry (Susan Kent) and Brent (Janice.) Cherished Pops to Chris, Jennifer, Jason, Kyle, Mark, Jonathon, Chris, Lindsay, David, Zachary and Cody, and 2 great-grandchildren, Peter and Morgan. Dear brother of Gordon, Eileen McCartney and Norm of Vancouver. Friends may visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street, on Tuesday, June 19, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday, June 20 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Legion Service will be held on Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Thursday, June 21, 2001, at 12 noon. Interment Capital Memorial Gardens. Contributions to Royal Canadian Legion, Ottawa - Eastview Poppy Fund, 10 Bayswater Avenue, Ottawa, or to the Ottawa Regional Cancer Centre Foundation, 503 Smyth Rd., Ottawa would be appreciated.
