(nee Simpson) Peacefully at the Glebe Centre on Wednesday, June 20, 2001. Beloved wife of the late Gerald Smith. Loving mother of Rev. Dr. William D. Smith and his wife Sharon. Predeceased by son Gerry. Devoted grandmother of Christina Smith-Favit (Norman) of Wichita, U.S.A., David (Lindsay) of Reading, England, Benjamin and Ryan both of Ottawa. Predeceased by sister Mary and brothers George and Bill. Friends may visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair and McGarry, 315 McLeod St. on Sunday, June 24. The funeral service will be held at Emmanuel United Church, 691 Smyth Road, Ottawa on Monday, June 25 at 1 p.m. Interment Capital Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Music Therapy Program at the Glebe Centre, 950 Bank St. or to the CNIB, 320 McLeod St., Ottawa.
