BSc, MD, FRCP(C) 1943-2001 It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Gerard Joseph MacGillvray on Friday June 22, 2001 at his home in Oshawa in his 58th year. Beloved husband of Joan. Loving father of Martha and her husband Peter Savoy, David, Jennifer, and Patrick. Cherished grandfather of Matthew Savoy. Survived by his sister Mary Butler of Ottawa and is predeceased by his parents Vincent and Noreen MacGillvray. Friends may call at the Armstrong Funeral Home, 124 King Street East, Oshawa, on Saturday June 23rd from 7 to 9 p.m., and on Sunday June 24th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Prayers in the funeral home on Sunday evening at 7:30 p.m. A funeral mass will be held on Monday June 25th at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph the Worker Parish (Mary and Beatrice). Interment Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, Whitby. If desired remembrances may be made to Lakeridge Health Oshawa - Pediatrics Dept, or Grandview Rehab and Treatment Centre.
