In Miramichi Lodge, Pembroke on Sunday, June 24, 2001 in his 92nd year. Bill Carty formerly of Petawawa and husband of the late Velma Catherine Carty (nee Smith). Dear father of Linda Strong (husband Don), Petawawa. Dear grandfather of Darrell Strong, Petawawa and Karen Strong, Charleston, South Carolina. Great-grandfather to Sean, Amanda, Kayla and Holly. Brother of Orville Carty (wife Marie), Ottawa; Grace Willins, Ottawa; Mona Dodds, Ottawa; Maisie Moreland (husband Alfie), Ottawa; Marjorie McNee, Edmonton; Reid Carty (wife Donna), Kapuskasing and Blanche Raven, Couquitlam, B.C. Survived by his many nieces and nephews. By request there will be no visitation. A Memorial Service will be held in All Saints Anglican Church, Petawawa on Friday, July 6th at 2:30 p.m. Arrangements by the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, Pembroke.
