On Friday, June 29, 2001, peacefully at the age of eighty-one, in Doncaster, England, after a lengthy illness. Beloved husband of Kathleen. Devoted father of Paul (Virginia) in Pointe Claire. Cherished grandfather of Anitra and Dawn. He will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by all who knew him. A private service was held in England. Montreal Gazette, July 4, 2001
