Gérard Savary

SAVARY, Gérard "Gerry" Passed away on June 11, 2016 at the age of 87. Son of the late René Savary and the late Florida Claude. Loving husband of Jeannine Jacques for 65 years. He leaves in sorrow his children Pierre (Susanne), André (Danielle) and Suzanne. Gérard will be greatly missed by his five grandchildren and his three great- grandchildren as well as by many nephews, nieces and friends. He was predeceased by his sisters Thérèse Savary, Huguette Watt and Denise Goneau. He was a devoted life member at the Eastview Legion and a former Public Servant. Gérard was immensely involved in the community. The family would like to thank the staff from the Élisabeth- Bruyère Geriatric Day Hospital for all the support they provided. Family will receive relatives and friends for Visitation on Friday, June 24, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Racine, Robert & Gauthier Funeral Home (180 Montreal Road, Ottawa). A Memorial Service will follow at 1:30 p.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel. In Memory of Gérard, donations to the Bruyère Foundation - Geriatric Day Hospital would be appreciated.
