Sister Jacqueline Dubuc 1930 - 2017 - Jacqueline Dubuc, s.c.o. member of Sisters of Charity of Ottawa LOWELL -- Sister Jacqueline Dubuc, s.c.o., age 87, a member of the Sisters of Charity of Ottawa for 66 years, died at St. Joseph Residence in Lowell, on October 28, 2017 after a brief illness. Born in Nicolet, QC, Canada, She was the daughter of the late Edgar and Nelda (Therrien) Dubuc. Sister Jacqueline was educated in Nicolet, QC and in Pointe-du-Lac, QC. She graduated from the Teachers' College in Hull, QC, where she specialized in early childhood education. Sister Jacqueline will be best remembered for her energy and creativity as a well-loved kindergarten teacher at Ste Jeanne d'Arc School in Lowell for over 40 years. Prior to that time, she had also taught primary grades at St. Joseph and Notre Dame de Lourdes Schools in Lowell. She was an active member of the Ste Jeanne d'Arc and later St. Rita Conference of St. Vincent de Paul until her retirement for health reasons in 2012. She is survived by two brothers and their spouses, Roger and Cecile Dubuc of Nicolet, QC and Jean Noël and Lucille Dubuc of Bécancour, Trois-Rivières, QC, as well as nieces and nephews, all of Canada. She was predeceased by two brothers, Laurent and Jean-Marc and three sisters, Juliette Racine, Therese Berthiaume and Lucille Baillargeon. DUBUC -- Sister Jacqueline Dubuc, s.c.o. Friends may call at St. Joseph Residence, 977 Varnum Avenue on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. with a wake service at 7 p.m. Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday morning at 9:30 a.m. in the Chapel of D'Youville Senior Care Center, 981 Varnum Ave., Lowell. Committal prayers and burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford. In lieu of flowers, the Sisters suggest either a Mass offering or a memorial donation in her name to Ste.
