Claude Grandbois

Dr Claude Grandbois MD. F.R.C.P. 1936 - 2008 Le 15 novembre 2008, à l'âge de 72 ans, est décédé paisiblement, après un brave combat contre le cancer, le Dr Claude Grandbois, époux bien-aimé et âme soeur de Janet (Boire) depuis 44 ans. Il laisse dans le deuil, ses enfants: Suzanne (Mark Pullen), Marc (Jaime Geary), Michelle (Douglas McMillan) et Anne (Christopher Pullen); ses petits-enfants: Michelle, Emily et Claire Pullen, Amelie, Matthew et Michael Grandbois, Alexandra et Thomas Liutec, Jack et Sarah McMillan et Jennifer, Megan et Matthew Pullen; sa soeur Louise (Bruce Killpatrick); ses neveux et nièces: Tina et Philippe Killpatrick. Il laisse également dans le deuil sa belle-mère Janet Boire Ilett ainsi que sa belle-soeur Mary-Louise (Claude Boudreau) et ses beaux-frères: Paul Boire, Peter Boire (Pamela Plant) et Geoffrey Boire ainsi que plusieurs autres neveux, nièces, cousins, cousines, ami(e)s et collègues qui l'appréciaient beaucoup. Claude était un pédiatre dévoué et très aimé dans son milieu, qui a pratiqué à Saint-Lambert pendant 45 ans. Il prit une retraite en juin 2008, suite à une maladie, mais continua quand même à pratiquer à la Clinique Enfant-Médic de Dollard-des-Ormeaux jusqu'à son décès. En tant que médecin, il était professeur assistant du département de pédiatrie à la Faculté de médecine de l'Université McGill et médecin assistant du département de pédiatrie du Montreal Children's Hospital. Dearly loved husband and soul-mate of Janet (Boire) for forty-four years. Loving father of Suzanne (Mark Pullen), Marc (Jaime Geary), Michelle (Douglas McMillan) and Anne (Christopher Pullen). Wonderful grandfather of Michelle, Emily and Claire Pullen, Amelie, Matthew and Michael Grandbois, Alexandra and Thomas Liutec, Jack and Sarah McMillan and Jennifer, Megan and Matthew Pullen. Much loved brother of Louise (Bruce Killpatrick) and uncle of Tina and Philippe Killpatrick. He will also be sadly missed by his mother-in-law Janet Boire Llett, as well as his sister-in-law Mary-Louise (Claude Boudreau), brothers-in-law Paul Boire, Peter Boire (Pamela Plant) and Geoffrey Boire. He also leaves nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and colleagues to whom he was a very special man. Claude was a much loved and dedicated pediatrician who practiced in St. Lambert for forty-five years. Although he officially retired from his practice in June 2008, due to illness, he continued to provide medical services at the Clinique Enfant-Medic in Dollard des Ormeaux, until the time of his death. As a physician he was an Assistant professor in the Department of Pediatrics, Faculty of Medicine, McGill University as well as Assistant Physician in the Department of Pediatrics, Montreal Children's Hospital. Funeral arrangements: Visitation: Wednesday, November 19, 2008 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at: Funeral ceremony to be held Thursday, November 20, 2008 at 11 a.m. at St. Edmund of Canterbury Church, 105 Beaconsfield Blvd., corner of St. Charles Blvd., in Beaconsfield.
