Jean LOCKHART

(Lockhart). Passed away peacefully with dignity and with her family by her side, on Saturday, July 7, 2001 in her eighty-third year. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Raymond Brooks. She loved and will be missed by her six children and their partners: Vicky and Peter Dekker of Kentville, NS; Ted and Judy Brooks of Comox, BC; Jeffrey Brooks and Barbara Tolloczko of Montreal; Nancy and Barry Lesser of Aylesford, NS; Peggy and Pierre Legault of Dorval; Jennifer and James Ramsay of Atlanta, Ga; also, twenty-one grandchildren: Kenneth (Allison) Dekker, Steven Dekker; Jim, Crista (Peter Nagy), Allan, and Elizabeth Brooks; Jonathan (Annie), Jesse and Prin Brooks; Eric, Kevin, and Brian Lesser; Matt, Genny, Jessica, Marie-Anne, Clara and Jeremie Legault; Allie, Paul and George Ramsay; and great granddaughter Ruby Yee-Brooks. The family wishes to thank all of her friends and the wonderful doctors, nurses, staff and volunteers of the Oncology and Palliative Care Departments of St. Mary's Hospital for the care, love and compassion they showed Jean during the past two years. Thank you also to all who helped us care for her at home. Visitation will be Monday, July 9 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Armstrong Funeral Home, 1640 Cote Vertu, St. Laurent and one hour prior to the funeral service at St. Andrews Norwood United Church. The funeral will be on Tuesday, July 10 at 1 p.m. at St. Andrews Norwood United Church, 1600 de l'Eglise, St. Laurent. Reception to follow. Donations to St. Mary's Oncology Clinic would be welcome.
