Surrounded by family and friends, smiling and laughing to the last, Kathy "Squeak" Otterspoor, aged 49, died peacefully in hospital on Saturday, July 7, 2001. Undaunted by a painful and lengthy illness, Kathy's positive outlook was an inspiration to all who knew her. Loving mother of Melinda and Greg, she will also be deeply missed by her brother Keith (Maureen) Gross, her aunt Betty and uncle Gordon Gross, extended family and many circles of friends including: Ostomy Support Group, Brain Tumour Support Group, Spiritual Support Groups, Nepean Choir and Robin Easy Centre. Special thanks to Dr. Fung-Kee-Fung, nursing and palliative care staff at the Ottawa Hospital General Campus and the staff and volunteers at the Maycourt and Sylvia hospices. Friends may call at the Westboro Chapel of the Tubman Funeral Homes, 403 Richmond Road at Roosevelt, on Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at All Saints Anglican Church Westboro, Richmond Road, on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. a donation to the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada or the Canadian Cancer Society appreciated.
