Wilhelmina Louise Aalders

Wilhelmina Louise Campbell (née Aalders) January 8, 1928 – November 30, 2017 - Grandmother, Mother, Aunt and Sister, Helma as she was known died peacefully with her children by her side. She is survived by her son, Pieter Campbell; daughters, Fi Campbell, Pietsie Campbell; and deceased son, Ian Campbell; as well as her step daughter, Monica Campbell Hoppe. Helma has 5 grandchildren, Alexandra Lalonde, Adrian Black, Tai Campbell, Liv Johnson and Charlie Hootstein. She dearly missed her late husband, Commander A. Craig Campbell. Helma emigrated to Canada in 1950 from the Netherlands. She has 2 surviving siblings, Lydia Aalders and Marius Aalders. Helma had a tenacious spirit and an incredible zest for life. She will be dearly missed by all of her family and friends. We will celebrate her in lieu of a funeral at her home on Beach Drive in Oak Bay on Monday, December 4th from 4 pm to 9 pm.
