WWII Veteran Born February 10, 1923 At home, from cancer, on July 11, 2001 in his 78th year. Son of Allen A. DuBroy and Celina Rice (deceased). Beloved husband of 47 years of Armande Laurin. Cherished father of Robert and father-in-law of Edna Tretter, father of Paul and sadly missed by his devoted friend Carmen. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Kenneth and Denise Laurin (Victoria, B.C.). Beloved grandfather of Joel, Sarah and Anna. Brother-in-law of Cecile Laurin (Frank Graham, deceased), Cecile Quesnel (Gaetan Laurin, deceased), Gisele Laurin (Orville Sauve), Idas Laurin (Cecile Servais), Muguette Laurin (Aime Barrette) and Lucien Laurin (deceased). He leaves many nieces and nephews and very good friends. Retired employee of 27 years of the Canadian National Research Council, C.P.O. in the Royal Canadian Navy (RCNVR) for 4 years. Life member of the Navy Club, life member of the Ontario Federation of Musicians, member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 462 for 38 years. Former employee of the Royal Canadian Mint. Friends may pay their respects at Racine Robert & Gauthier Funeral Home, 180 Montreal Road on Friday, July 13 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, July 14 at Assumption Church, 320 Olmstead Avenue at 11 a.m. Those desiring may make in memoriam donations to CHRI-FM or the charity of their choice.
