Henry K. Mueggler March 29, 1928 ~ April 2, 2016 (age 88) - Miramichi – Henry Karl Mueggler, husband of Hazel Bishop,of Edmonton Cres., Miramichi Retirement Community, Miramichi, N.B., passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, on Saturday evening, April 2, 2016, surrounded by his loving family and listening to his Swiss music, at the age of 88. Born in Oberaach, Thurgau, Switzerland on March 29, 1928, he was the son of the late Frank (Franz) and Helen (Schtol) Mueggler. He was a Land and Property developer by profession and attended The Roman Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife, Hazel Bishop; four daughters, Susan Mueggler, of Richmond, Que., Patricia Douglas (Buster), of Elmwood, Ont., Allison Chapman (Steve), of Ottawa, Ont., Tanis Bishop, of Markham, Ont.; five sons, Peter Mueggler, of Montreal, Michael Mueggler (Chantel), of Toronto, Alan Mueggler (Rheal), of Montreal, Terry Bishop (Shelly), of Ajax, Ont., Brian Mueggler (Katherine), of Winnipeg; one sister, Margaret Schmid (John), of Lonpoc, Ca., Usa; two brothers, Frank Mueggler, of Los Angeles, CA, USA, and Peter Mueggler (Rose), of Huntington Beach, Ca, USA; sixteen grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. By his request there will be no visitation or funeral service at this time. Interment will be in Switzerland at a later time. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Palliative Care Unit of the Miramichi Regional Hospital, or any charity of the donors’ choice would be appreciated by the family. Special thanks is offered to Dr. Swart and the staff of the Palliative Care Unit of the Miramichi Regional Hospital for their compassion and professionalism.
