Peacefully, after 2 weeks in hospital, on Friday, July 20, 2001, aged 86 years. Don McCuaig, beloved husband for 61 years of Ruth Jeffrey. Dear father of Kim (Patti), Jim (Ina) and Pam (Fred). Loving grandfather of Tim, Chris, Heather, Allison, Matthew, Stacie and Kyle. Brother of Jean Smith, Frances Fellows and Hughie McCuaig. Pre-deceased by his brother Reverend Alan McCuaig. Don joined the R.C.A.F. pre-war and served for 25 years. He then worked for 20 years at William and Wilson Ltd. Friends may call at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 3440 Richmond Road (between Bayshore and Baseline Road), Nepean, on Wednesday, July 25, 2001 from 1-2:30 p.m. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held in the chapel on Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. Cremation. In memory of Don a memorial donation to the Lung Association of Ottawa-Carleton, 3 Raymond Street, Ottawa, ON, would be appreciated by his family. Ottawa Citizen, July 21, 2001
