passed away peacefully on July 17th after a long illness, surrounded by the love of her family. She is lovingly remembered by her devoted husband and caregiver, Peter, and their daughter Zoë, whom she cherished above all else. Louise was a bright light - always supportive, encouraging us to live life on our own terms and reminding us never to give up. While her loss is profound, we take comfort in knowing she is finally at peace after years of Predeceased by her parents, Guy-Bernard and Lucille, Louise was the eldest sibling to Nicole, Sylvie, Claude, and Frédérique. She will also be deeply missed by her stepdaughter Andrea, stepson Nick, her daughter's partner Claire, and her many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. An exceptional student, Louise excelled through law school at the Université de Montréal before building a distinguished legal career of nearly 40 years in transportation, regulatory, and business law. Her clients ranged from Groupe Robert and UPS to the Emir of Oman. Louise also had an adventurous spirit and a passion for travel. She delighted in exploring the world with her family, creating lasting memories in places including Turkey, Vietnam, and Russia. Louise faced mental illness and dementia with courage and resilience. Her wish was to be cremated and laid to rest beside her parents in the Baillargeon family plot at Montreal Cemetery in a private family ceremony. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Anne-Marie Ouimet, Dr. Thomas Milroy, their colleagues, the compassionate staff at Place Kensington and Aux Trois Sentiers, and Leila for their exceptional care and kindness.
