John Souaid

passed away on July 23, 2026. Beloved husband of Nancy Saykaly, devoted father of David Souaid (Mia Scaff) and Nicole Souaid (John Emms), and cherished grandfather of Lauren, Amanda, and Daniella Souaid, as well as Kate and Jack Emms, John's greatest joy was his family, to whom he devoted his life and boundless love. Born in Saint-Hyacinthe, Quebec, John was the son of the late Adma Souaid and Moussa Souaid. He was predeceased by his brother, Paul Souaid, and is survived by his brother, Pierre Souaid. He will also be fondly remembered by Mark Saykaly and Louise Saykaly, Janet Dussault and David Dussault, and their families, all of whom held a special place in their hearts for Uncle John. John devoted more than fifty years to the robe and loungewear industry through his beloved company, Diamond Tea Gown. He took great pride in his work and earned the respect, admiration, and friendship of colleagues throughout the industry, building a reputation founded on integrity, dedication, and kindness. Above all, John was a gentleman of exceptional warmth, generosity, and grace. His quiet strength, unwavering devotion to those he loved, and genuine kindness touched the lives of all who knew him. To his family, he was their steadfast source of love, wisdom, and support. They consider themselves profoundly blessed to have shared their lives with such a remarkable husband, father, and grandfather. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his family, friends, and all whose lives were enriched by his presence. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the CLSC Métro palliative care team for their unwavering compassion, kindness, and support during John's final months.
