Beloved son of Mary Therese (Byrne) Johnson of Middleton, NS. Predeceased by father Glen Lee, and brother Ian Christopher. Died accidentally on Wednesday, August 15th, 2001, at Ottawa, ON. He was 52. Born in Halifax, NS, he moved to Ontario at an early age, where he was educated in the schools of Toronto and Markham. He was a graduate of Carleton University, with a degree in English. A past employee of Mitel Corp., and most recently was a proud employee of Gray Hawk Golf Club in Carlsbad Springs, ON, where he loved to work outdoors. His interests included horticulture, landscaping, wine-making, sports cards, reading, movies and Bridge. He was an active member of the Knights of Columbus, and regularly attended the Good Shepherd Church. He is survived by one brother Gregory, Vancouver, and two sisters Tish Nicholson, Vankleek Hill, ON, and Megan Johnson (Steve Anderson) of Greely, ON. He will be sadly missed by nephew Adam Nicholson and niece Jennifer Whitford and 3 great-nieces, Brittany, Taylor and Sierra. The body was cremated and memorial services will take place at Good Shepherd Church at 3092 Innes Rd., Orleans, on Wed., August 22 at 1 p.m. Later a burial will take place in Nova Scotia. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Diabetes Association in your areas or to the Good Shepherd Church where Rick was actively involved to get pews for the church.
